Scholara ("we", "our", or "the app") is an Android application that helps students discover scholarships and universities. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. By using Scholara, you agree to this policy.

3. Summary

4. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use Scholara, we may collect:
- Account information — if you sign in with Google: name, email, and profile identifiers provided by Google Sign-In / Supabase Auth.
- App activity — favorites (saved scholarships/universities), comments and replies, notification preferences.
- Device tokens — Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) tokens so we can send push notifications when you allow them.
- Technical data — basic device/app information needed to operate the service (for example platform type for push registration).
We do not require browsing history outside the app, contacts, SMS, or precise location for core scholarship discovery.
5. How We Use Information
- Provide and improve scholarship and university discovery features.
- Sync favorites and comments to your signed-in account.
- Send in-app and push notifications (favorite updates, comment replies, deadline reminders) when enabled.
- Moderate community comments and protect the service.
- Respond to support requests.
6. Third-Party Services
- Supabase — authentication, database, and related backend services.
- Google Sign-In — optional account authentication.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging — push notifications on Android.
These providers process data according to their own privacy policies and our configuration (including security rules and access controls).
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may share data with service providers listed above only as needed to run Scholara, or if required by law.
8. Data Retention & Deletion
- Account-linked data is kept while your account remains active.
- You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data by emailing magnifo123@gmail.com.

- Uninstalling the app removes local app data from your device; server-side account data may remain until you request deletion.
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures appropriate to our service (including encrypted transport and access controls). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
10. Children's Privacy
Scholara is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal data.
11. Your Choices
- Continue as a guest without signing in.
- Control notification permissions in Android Settings and in-app notification preferences.
- Revoke Google Sign-In access from your Google Account settings.
- Request account/data deletion via email.

13. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after updates means you accept the revised policy.
