Scholara — Request Account Deletion
How to request deletion
- Send an email to magnifo123@gmail.com.
- Use the subject line: Scholara account deletion request.
- Include the Google account email address you used to sign in to Scholara.
- We will verify ownership of the account and process your request.
You may also uninstall the app at any time to remove local data from your device. Uninstalling alone does not delete your server-side account data.
What we delete
When your deletion request is completed, we delete or permanently de-identify data associated with your Scholara account, including:
- Account profile information linked to your sign-in (such as name and email stored for Scholara)
- Favorites (saved scholarships and universities)
- Comments and replies you posted
- Notification preferences and push notification device tokens for your account
- In-app notification records tied to your account
What we may keep (and for how long)
- Legal / security records: We may retain limited records needed to comply with law, resolve disputes, or prevent abuse (for example logs showing that a deletion request was received and completed) for up to 90 days, then delete or anonymize them where practicable.
- Aggregated / anonymized data: Data that no longer identifies you may be retained for analytics and product improvement.
- Third-party accounts: Deleting your Scholara account does not delete your Google Account. Manage Google data in your Google Account settings.
Processing time
We aim to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days of receiving your email. You will receive a confirmation when the account and associated data have been deleted.
